Caramel Color

Caramel color is also known as E 150a. It is a in Europe approved food coloring for archiving of color effects and can be used without restrictions. The usage of caramel color guarantees a consistent color among bottlings. However to much caramel color has a negative impact on the aroma and the taste (a bitter note in the finish).

The usage of caramel color is forbidden for bourbon.
